George Laing Auctions - Terms & Conditions

 By participating in our auctions, you agree to the following terms. These conditions are designed to ensure a transparent and fair experience for all parties involved.

Auction bidding fee is £2. This joining fee is refunded via coupon towards your winning items. This helps prevent fraudulent bidders 

 1. Postage & Shipping

UK Shipping: Flat rate of £8. Multiple lots can be combined at no extra charge depends on weight.- Europe Shipping: Starts at £12.- Worldwide Shipping: Starts at £20.- All shipping fees are charged in addition to the final invoice total.- We aim to dispatch items within 3-5 working days of receiving cleared payment.- Buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees in their respective countries.

 2. Bidding & Commission

 A 20% buyer's commission is applied to all final hammer prices.- By placing a bid, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract.- All bids are final and cannot be retracted.- We reserve the right to withdraw, cancel, or refuse any bid at our discretion.

 3. Payment

 Full payment is required within 24 hours of the auction ending.- If payment is not received within 72 hours, a daily fee of £10 will be charged, for a maximum of 10
 days.- Failure to complete payment within 10 days will result in a permanent ban from future auctions.- Accepted payment methods include debit card.

4. Collection & Storage

Items not collected or for which shipping arrangements have not been made within 30 days of the auction may incur storage fees.- After 60 days, unclaimed items may be resold to recover storage costs, and any remaining balance
 will be forfeited.

 5. Returns & Refunds

 All items are sold as seen and described to the best of our knowledge.- Returns are only accepted if an item is proven to be significantly misdescribed.- Buyers must notify us within 48 hours of receipt if there is an issue.- Approved returns must be shipped back within 7 days of approval, in their original condition and packaging.

 6. Export & Import Regulations

Buyers are responsible for obtaining any necessary export or import licenses and for complying with all customs regulations.- The denial of any license or delay in obtaining such license cannot justify the cancellation of the sale or any delay in making payment.- We are not responsible for items seized or delayed by customs authorities.

 7. Limitation of Liability

 We are not liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the sale or use of any item.- Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the item.

 8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.- Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of
 England and Wales.
